Hey guys! This week, I decided to mix it up a little bit, so I called in one of my good writer friends and neighbor, Eloise. I told her to surprise me and this is what she came up with! I hope you give her a warm welcome and enjoy her article as much as I did! If you're interested in guest blogging for The Butterfly Effect, let me know down below! We'd be honored to have you!

Hello everybody! This is guest blogging, I hope you will like it!
So, I had lots of ideas for this article, but then I thought I would just surprise Lorelei by writing an article about her favorite boy band *tension music*… One Direction!! She got me interested into all this fandom stuff she loves, so I guess writing an article about them is a good way to thank her.
One Direction, often shortened to 1D by fans, is an English-Irish pop boy band. The group is composed of Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson (and Zayn Malik, however he left the band in 2015). Discovered by Simon Cowell on the X Factor show, they quickly became a worldwide phenomenon. They achieved global success on social medias with their five albums: Up All Night, which came out in 2011, Take Me Home in 2012, Midnight Memories in 2013, Four in 2014 And Made in The A.M. in 2015.
Their best hit songs are “What Makes You Beautiful”, “Live While We’re Young”, “Best Song Ever”, “Drag Me Down” and my favorite of them all “Night Changes”. These boys were considered teen idols, and embarked on four world tours (I wish Lorelei and I could have been to one of them).

I also wanted to talk about Larry Stylinson fan stories that most hardcore fans know about. (Just to clarify here, Larry Stylinson is the ship name for Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson, as many fans believe they were in a romantic relationship and there is much evidence to support this idea.) In fact, did they fall in love? I am sure they did. They know their fans know they are in love. It was obvious, they needed to be together. They started as two happy kids, they laughed together… In general, they were just free, but then something happened and made everything change, and the management control began. Everything started going wrong. Harry and Louis both got new girlfriends. Taylor Swift, Kendall Jenner, Eleanor Calder, all those girls we know about as fellow 1D fans! I’m not saying they didn’t like those girls, but I think they had too much pressure coming from their manager, Simon Cowell and management team. Louis and Harry were definitely not happy. They needed to deny Larry. They even posted on Twitter their reactions about the Larry couple, and it was BAD…
I think the big problem is that there are a lot of people who don’t really know the real world within the music industry, and in general, how much control a management can have over an artist.
I’m not saying I know absolutely everything about how the music industry works, but there is so much evidence that Modest! management did not treat all of the boys properly and that they tried to hide Larry. It makes me sick and makes me nauseous that they could treat teenage boys the way they did.
If Modest! management did not have control over them, why were Harry and Louis not allowed to sit next to each other? Why weren’t they allowed to laugh at each other's jokes? And why was Harry crying after denying Larry? There are so many examples and I could go on and on and on about it.
*I mean don't even try to tell me they aren't even a little bit in love!
But slowly they began to interact with each other again and push back against management. Even though One Direction went on hiatus, that did not mean the end of Larry (or One Direction, as they promised they were only on a break). But of course, all fans are sure they still had to deny it, since Louis was still signed with Modest! Management as a solo artist. But we are now closer to how it was at the beginning, and it is all that matters to us fans.
*A shot of the One Direction Fan Project, a project put together by fans to create this message at the concert.
In conclusion, One Direction was a huge boy band full of secrets, laughter, friendship, and good music! It's a shame they were subjected to the industry at such a young age, but hopefully they came out stronger for it. Now since you're interested...stream Fine Line, Walls, Heartbreak Weather and LP1!!
